They had so much fun. They used the plans from build a castle, and dh bought balsa wood and grey spray paint for them.

Iit was made with dh's help, of course. :-)

oh wow!!! that is so cool. we've only made 2 castles in the past and they were both the cardboard type so they're long gone... maybe this will give my boys some ideas. thanks for posting!

Yeah, we've made cardboard and paper castles before - one was a Hogwarts model - but they didn't last. I think the balsa wood one will be good for play and be more durable.

The plans from the website were very good and clear - some free and some very inexpensive to pay for and download...

Hey, Luke - this is the photo Thomas emailed me from his phone - I saved it and uploaded it. :-)

Theresa, IKWYM about not wanting to re-visit the Middle Ages again - every year or two we would say we would start history chronologically and we never used to get past Egypt! lol! So, random works best for us ( agree, Luke?).
