Oh, you have some great ones there! I loved The Great Gatsby!

Thanks for the list. I like how you put up the graphics. So much more complete than just the titles.

Cindy, Jonathon is re-reading The Great Gatsby for about the millionth time - he loves that book! He is a big F.Scott Fitzgerald fan.

Fr B - Kathy Reichs' books were recommended to me by you and then by two other friends. The author is following me around - so thought I'd better buy one of her boosk to read. Three recommendations is pretty good, don't you think?

I enjoy visiting your blog. I thank you for visiting mine. My mind is like a whirlwind ... getting things geared up for another year. But still trying to work on my scrapbook ~ that was my summer project! I have accomplished some but not as much as I would like.

I am reading some books too but mostly home schooling stuff. Reaping the Harvest~ Diana Waring.
Sheparding a Child Heart~ Ted Trip

Have a great weekend.

Hey Leonie.. Tell Jonathon I love that book, too. I have read it 3 tiems. Has he read any FSF short stories? There was one that was wonderful called .... Gets a Bob. I forgot who the girl was that did! I can find the title if he wants. Any other recommendations, Jonathon?

I just love his writing style. Did you see the movie with Robert Redford? If so, what did you think?

I also enjoy Fitzgerald - although not as much as Greg, and I suspect, Jonathon. I've only read "This side of paradise" and a collection of short stories, but it was one of the books that really draw me in, and make me identify with the struggles of the protagonist. A little like Huxley's novels - I always feel like I'm in another world after reading one!

Cindy, I never saw the movie - do you recommend it?

Jonathon will be rapt to find another Fitzgerald fan ( son number 2 Greg is another!).

Teena, I like Diana Waring's books - very uplifting.

Luke - I always found Fitzgerald a bit sad - but I had a different upbringing to yours ( very different! lol!) so I wonder how much we bring of ourselves to novels and how this impacts on our impression of the novel...
