Texting in your sleep?
It's okay - texting isn't all bad. In fact, it shows good acquisition of language skills. Or so says this link.

Sad to say; I cannot even figure HOW to text!!!!
"I've said in the past that bedrooms should be a cell-phone free zone. They don't harmonize with the setting for restful sleep. And what if that phone rings back with a text from the person who receives your midnight message? I say, put those cell phones to bed--in another room. Give it a rest. Your sleep will thank you." ring a bell Leonie... no pun intended!! BLV
Molly, I text and email more than talk! :)
Yes, it rings a bell, thanks! not! - more proof I should listen to you, I guess... :-)
I actually veer between using text-talk and slightly overblown english when texting. Sometimes I enjoy flouting the conventions of the genre by writing too formally...yep, I'm a real wild child :)
It will be interesting to see how the English language will develop in the future when we consider texting. It is already interesting to see how it has developed since the times of Shakespeare. Maybe we will have formal and informal languages.
Wild child!!
And, yes, I think we do have different conventions for different audiences. It is fascinating to see the development of different words and of language, its evolution so to speak.
in fact its gr8 & kewl. :-)
