St Genevieve

We read about St Genevieve - feast day January 3.

I really like St Genevieve - a strong woman of faith. She reminds me of both St Joan of Arc and St Catherine of Sienna.

St Genevieve was generous to the poor and so one of the symbols used to denote St Genevieve is a loaf of bread.

Thomas made some sour dough bread in remembrance of St Genevieve - I had a piece with banana for breakfast today. Very nice. Even low GI!

Prayer of Consecration of St. Maximilian Kolbe

O Immaculata, Queen of Heaven and earth, refuge of sinners and our most loving Mother, God has willed to entrust the entire order of mercy to thee. I, N___, a repentant sinner, cast myself at thy feet humbly imploring thee to take me with all that I am and have, wholly to thyself as thy possession and property.
