Today's Saint. My ( sort of ) name day.
Leonie-Ann equals St Leo and St Anne, don't you think?
Leo is from the Latin and is related to the name lion.
I blogged about St Leo the Great last year.
Today we read about why St Leo is a Doctor of the Church.
Last year Anthony made me low fat chocolate muffins, in honour of St Leo. No low fat muffins to celebrate today this year - no time, and I'm feeling too fat!

ETA ~ at 11.15 p.m. ~ Jonathon phoned dh. Told him it was the feast of St Leo and told him to get some cheesecake for me to celebrate. So, guess what, I broke my diet. My healthy eating plan.
But weren't they nice??

Hey it works for me to give you "Leo" -- after all, I take ALL the Marian feast days as "my" days!
Lots of partying when your name is Mary ....
Blessings,
Yum, cheesecake...haven't had that in a while. Though I do at least once a week eat an ice cream flavour form Ben & Jerry's called cheesecake brownie. Cheesecake flavoured ice cream with pieces of cheesecake brownie in it. Yum.
Mary - what a great idea - so lucky to have mary as your name! lol!
Greg, that cheesecake ice cream sounds yum, and I'm not even a big ice cream fan...But I must admit I crave margarita ice cream every now and then...
Happy belated feast Leonie!
Hope you enjoyed that cheesecake, that is one of my all time favorite desserts!
A guilty pleasure! lol!
Leonie
I have an award for you at my blog.
Sounds like a pleasant feast day - although I only just realised this means you have two! :)
What sort of cheesecake was it?
Dad bought two half cheesecakes - one plain, one chocolate chip..
