I came to realize that for me it was less important to worry about fitting in prayer all the time, to worry about how to pray, to worry about distractions, to worry about praying the Office imperfectly, than it was to actually pray. Iykwim?

I know the LOH is part of the Church's liturgy and thus how is important but sometimes in a mother and wife's life, things don't always work out perfectly. I've learned just to pray the Office regardless, not to use it as a stick with which to beat myself, but to discipline myself gently in prayer.

I don't know if this has any bearing at all on your situation! (LOL! Laughs at self!). Can you fit in a cuppa and chat time before Christmas or would after be better?

I just use an old short breviary,ie the morning and evening and night prayers, it has the proper of the seasons, the calendar of saints, I got it secondhand as a gift. It is falling to bits and I have sticky taped it together many times! :-)Leoniehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11596513344737230084noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15130664.post-8634406062526712562010-12-06T08:45:06.513+11:002010-12-06T08:45:06.513+11:00Thanks, Leonie. Which book do you use for LOH?

PamUnknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11619730481444338254noreply@blogger.com
