What I like about it is that it is an all ages game - Anthony ( youngest ds) started playing at age 3 and we adults still play mancala.

Cindy, have fun with the links - I only have Vol 4 of SOTW. I felt I had a lot of story like books for other periods of history but the only modern history I had was compendiums. SOTW Vol 4 has fit the gap for story like modern history very well. I've read about halfway through and then bits and pieces.Leoniehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11596513344737230084noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15130664.post-1159926792063173102006-10-04T11:53:00.000+10:002006-10-04T11:53:00.000+10:00Oh.. also Leonie-- do you like the Story of the Wo...Oh.. also Leonie-- do you like the Story of the World books?Cindyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00889299687693914699noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15130664.post-1159926465277839112006-10-04T11:47:00.000+10:002006-10-04T11:47:00.000+10:00HI Leonie-I am reading Chesterson's St. Francis bi...HI Leonie-

I am reading Chesterson's St. Francis bio now and am really enjoying it. Love the first chapter 'setting the scence' of where he is in history. Very nicely portrays the state of the world after Reformation.

Love your post- beautiful strewing!
Off to read the links you put in the post.Cindyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00889299687693914699noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15130664.post-1159894262326593732006-10-04T02:51:00.000+10:002006-10-04T02:51:00.000+10:00Mancala - oh no! I think, if I did, I would drop everything to read and use them. What an effective and enjoyable educational method.Alice Guntherhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05998555457432426192noreply@blogger.com
